I can't believe it has already been six years!!! The thought of how long some families have been depressed over there loved ones makes me so sad. I am fortunate enough to not have known anyone in that event. But I still feel the pain of those who did...

Wow. Well, we really have come closer as a country. We've tightened up security and held ceremonies and vigils for those lost in 9/11.
I think that fifty years from now, kids might be learning about 9/11 as an important point in U.S. history.
It makes me really sad to think about those families who lost loved ones.

9/11 was put into action by just 19 men...yet it affected 300+ million people around the country. i am shaken to think that my parent were in in the twin towers only a year before the attack.
9/11 has not only raised government awareness, it has shaken the whole country's outlook on america. i cannot imagine the thoughts of the impacted family members today.
we will NEVER forget 9/11...

I agree but i also think that people around the world will think this is important because almost everyone knows about it and some are affected by it.

I think that the 9/11 terrorist attack has definatley has raised the security! I think that is a very good thing because who knows what people could do if they didn't have the government that they do now. This could probably happen all over again and that would not be very good. :( I think that we should honor the people who risked/lost their lives that were trying very hard to save their fellow Americans that were in the Twin Towers at the time of the attack. But, we should honor them not by taking a day off of school but by having that moment of silence during the school day. Just to think about them and all of the pain that their family went through by losing a loved one. Thankfully, I didn't know anyone that was impacted directly by the attack, and I feel so sorry for the people that were. I will NEVER forget that horrible day...

Every year since 9/11 i always remember that day as a night mear cuz.... well... k i'm just gunna tell the story about what happened to my family durring 9/11. My dad was going to a meeting which was that morning and he was suposed to take one of the planes that was crashed. so once we saw the news my mom was freakin out and crying and i was hiding behind the couch(i was 6 at the time.) and my grandma called and was crying on the phone so loud that i could hear it. But latter that day my dad called and told us that he had gone to breakfast and decided to go on a later flight(fuew!)9/11 had had the same effect on many other families except many were killed so i'm just lucky that my dad was hungry!

It's amazing to think that it took only so few men with very primitive weapons could cause so much terror to our whole country. It just shows how close we are to our country. Not only the people whose loved ones were in the tragedy but everyone felt a sense of loss on that day. I think that 50 years from now people will definitely remember and be taught about this national day.

Ok, First, Why is every one's comments so long??? never mind...

ok, now I did research on the 9/11 incident earlier this week.

And over the amount of time of the 9/11 incident some other questions were brought up.

Like,
How do people know it was the flyer who crashed the plane?

Was it faulty wiring in the plane??

What if the plane was a small plane like the person was trained to fly?

I'm really baffaled by the results of 9/11. I'm truly asking myself one question.

Why???

Why did al queda' choose to hijack three planes.

And also,In the video, i can understand the passengers on the plane calling thier family members,
but I say they should of called the authorities right afterwards.

Oh man, oh man.

Well It's 10:03 PM and I have school tommorow.

See All yall in class tommorow.

PEACE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tommorow, some people will forget about 9/11, I'll remember it for a life time...

i agree with courtney 9/11 dosn't seem like 6 years it seems like yesterday (literaly). And we only can learn from our mistakes and someone has to pay the price and they did.

i agree with kaitlin people really are coming closer to this country. i think that the country will be more alert in transportation.

The movie we watched in class was very sad but I think it is important we watched so we can know about how the friends and families of the 9/11 attacks felt on that day and even now.

I think that for sure security has highly increased ever since 9/11 expesially on airplane flights which I am glad of so that it lowers the risk of an event like 9/11 happening again.

I think that 9/11 was a bad time for this country. I am especially worried about this because I fly in planes a minimum of 2 times a year. If I had been on one of those planes it might have been me and that freaks me out. I feel really bad for all the family and friends of all the people who were killed on that day. I can not believe how all of them would feel. I will not forget about 9/11 and neither will this country.

P. S. I know for a fact that the security has gotten a lot more controlled than before.
P. P. S. I agree with Veronica, how could only 19 men affect us this much???
P. P. P. S. The movie we watched in class was very sad, I agree.

I agree with Courtney's statemant, 6 years already! i remember going to Church when i was seven, dressed in black on 9/11. i would stand and try to resite the national anthem which i wasn't very good at. Still, that membery is not one of my best bacause it reminds me of all of the people who lost their lives, gave their lives, and who's lives were saved due to the brave people on flight 93. Also because of the people who risked their lives to find stranded and injured people in the still burning twin towers and the pentagon. it is so surpsising to me that such a small number of people could affect such a huge population (like what Tiffany said, and she makes a great piont). Oh, tiffany you're not the only one who is shaken. i hope that this date will make us remember and honor all of the people on this important mark and history.

It's just unbelievable! I agree with Tiff, that it's absolutely terrifying that only 19 men, and our nation was greatly affected. Fifty years from now, I think that this event won't be remembered the way it is today, but some people will. What made me really sad, was the picture of all of the pictures of the people that died in the tragic event. I have sympathy for all of those people that lost loved ones and friends. 9/11 is still to be remembered...

i think that kids fithty years from now they will be aware of what happpin on 9/11 for some reason i dont think it would be a important to them as it was to use because we were alive to see it an they werent

I think it would be really hard to have somebody in 9/11 because it would be hard to have someone so close to you die from a terrorist attack. It must be really hard on everyone who had someone in 9/11. My parents and me were only five hundred miles away it was really scary because you could see the smoke coming towards us. We offered to go help but they said they only wanted profesionals there. It made all of my family feel usless because we just sat there waiting to see what would happen to everyone. My mom got so upset that she used at least 15 boxes of tissus. I still feel useless because of that one day.

one thing is 911 has was 6 years ago. A thing that was brave was to the other country that was so small went to attack us. if we knew about it we could have blown them up in seconds. but since that day we have grown closer as a country.its so deppressing to see all your loved ones call you and say that theres a bomb on the plane and we have been highjacked from these three people.

i cant biloive 6 years has goun by and that all thoughs familys are never going to see there family members agin. i would not know what to do if my mom or anyone close to me was on one of the plans. it is so sad to think about all those kids who will never see their mother, or fother , or gand parent ever agin. i salute all of the soilders out there figting and all thoughs who fought in flight 93.

i think kids 50 years from now will know about 9/11 and know how it has changed our world.

It's not fair for those who lost loved ones in 9/11. Since we have a better security system now something like this should never happen again. The terrorists that died, died selfishly and the passengers died unsefishly by trying to save other peoples lives. It's just a very sad thing for those who lost someone close tho them and even people that didn't lose anyone.

ITS ALL SAD

Hey Mr. Veliz, i know this is kinda late but about the 9/11, its really sad, those deaths affected so many people, its unbelivable, its like it happened yesterday, since that had happen, i am never going to ride in a plane, after wat happened on 9/11, uve got to be kidding, im just upset about the, they must have been jealous of the U.S ccause of how we live or wat we have. I dont know why they would do that, they did a suicide mission, not just to kill every one on the plane but themselves. i hope this never happens again, I mean why cant WE all get along????...............

Anonymous said...

Shouldn't it be September 11 2001? Not September 11 2007?
In airports the people have to search you for bombs and guns so you have to take off your shoes and socks and empty your pockets and search through your bags so what I am saying is the security has greatly increased

i think that the kid fifty years from now are going to remember 9/11 ,and are going to remember all the tragic things that happen.they are going to be more aware and at the same time going to never for get what happen that day, it was one of the worlds worst thing that happened.i don't think any one will forget what happen.

Anonymous said...

i feels like 9/11 was just yesterday. I think that people are taking extra security when they get on planes. In 50 years this will probably still be remembered and it will be remembered as one of the most devastating things that ever happened and the war will hopefully be over before then.

Anonymous said...

I think that the United States was affected because a lot of people lost thier lives in the bombings. 50 years from now unfortunately i don't think it will be remmebered as it is today because something else like this probably will happen (hopfully it won't). I think it should become a holiday so that we won't forget how tragic it was and so something else won't take it's improtantce. It's amazing that it's already been 6 years. Hopful somehow we can make peace and not let anything happen like this again to the United States!

I think that we take more security measures after 9/11. Its cool that we still remember it. Yet in 50 years (hopefully the war will be over) I think that we will only remember if we lost or won, not what prevoked us to start the war. I think that since our attack, the US has become the "World Enforcer"
