I think the relationship between rights and responsibilities is that rights are privledges that we get but we have to respect them and take responsibility for them. The constitution is still important 220 years after it was signed because it is still the basis of our goverment. It is the responsibility of the citizens to protect the ideas of the constitution becuase it is basically what we base our priciples on.

This is what I think the relationship between rights and responsibilities is: rights grant you permission to do things and the responcibility parts are limits of what you can do.

The constitution is still important after 220 years because it shows how long we have had this government and it lets us remember that we are a free country. And I agree with Veronica how it is the citizens responsibitlity to protect the ideas.

I agree with Veronica about the rights and responsibilities. The constitution is still important, because it helps keep this country on track, and helps the citizens have a bigger role in what is going on. It is our responsibility to protect the ideas of the constitution because otherwise the government might decide that they would want to turn into a dictatorship.

I agree with Veronica about rights and responsibilities being privileges, and that we must protect them in order to keep our country strong. We need to be responsible about protecting the Constitution, because it's the document of laws that holds our country together- every little piece of it. The Constitution is still important 220 years after it was signed, because it keeps our country running smoothly. (with a few exceptions) So, just to put it into simpler words, the Constitution is a very important part of our history, and it remains a very important part of our lives.

Responsiblities and rights go together because responsibilities are the actions you take to prevent getting yourself in trouble. If your right is Freedom of Speech you can't say things that offend people (that is your responsibilty) otherwise you get in trouble. Our country is based on the constitution: if we don't follow the rights responsibly bad things can happen. If people don't take responsibity for our actions, our country would fall apart.

I believe that the relationship between rights and responsibilities is that rights are what you have permission/freedom to do by the law. On the other hand, responsibilities are how you handle your rights and if you use them wisely. The constitution is still important after its 220 years of existence because it is still the foundation of our government and all of our laws are based upon it.The responsibility of the US citizens is that we should protect it and follow what it says by being smart about what we do.

the difference between rights and responsabilities is that rights are privledges that you are given and thats what makes us free, but we have to take responsabilities for our right and respect those rights.

the relationship between between rights and privliges is that we must have responsibility to respect them both the reason we have remembred it sense 220 years agobecause this protects our freedom and we can never forget that . we have to protect the ideas of the constitution because if we dont we wont have the freedom we have tody in the united states of america.

The relationship between rights and responsibilities are: the more rights you have the more responsibilities you have. you can't have one or the other alone, with one comes anouther.
The constitution is still important 220 years after it was signed because it names alot of our countrys general rights. And it names how our country began its flight to freedomship.
The responsibilty of citizens of the U.S. to protect the ideas of the Consititution is that we would for sure not be what we are today without it saying what it says. For example we might still be under rule of England.

P.S. Since I have got the math curse from my mom, it was exactly 231 years 2 months and 14 days since the constitution was signed not 220 years.

I think the relationship between rights and responsibilities is that right are a privledge that we should respect and take the responsibilities that comes with them.

Rights are things that we earned, but responsibilities are things that we must do to keep those rights.
The constitution is the soil of our great country. We (hopefully) will always be protected by it. It is our
responsibility to add to the amendments.

I think the relationship with the rights in the constitution come with an up side and a small down side. They are like school rules if you do not follow them you will get in trouble. I think that the constitution is still important after (as Trevor said) 231 years, 2 months and 14 days because it is still the basis of all our laws and our country.

I think the relationship between rights and responsibilities is that they both are privleges that were given to us that we have to respect them and not abuse them.

The Constitution is still important over 220 years after it was signed because it shows we are a free country and it keeps the country on track.

It's the responsibility of the citizens to protect the ideas of the constitution because it's what holds our country together.

Rights are what we as the people of the United States are allowed to do. Responsibilities are how we behave with those rights

The constitution still is followed today making it an important referance for our earliest laws.

As a United States Citizen it is my responsibility to protect and respect the Constitution and the laws that it has held for many years.

1. the rights are what you can do. the responsiblilities are what you must do to uphold those rights.

2. why is the constitution important? the constitution is what holds our country together, and, as corey said, keeps us on track. it shows that we are a free country and it's what holds us apart from, say, china. there, the people dont have rights as we do, as they are under a dictatorship. Zimbabwe also has issues with their government. at least here we know we wont get the death penalty because we speak out against the government.

3. if we do not adhere to the contitution, our nation will crash and fall, becoming a country with one hazy future. we take the constitution for granted every day, not thinking about the fact that we could very well have ended up like china or zimbabwe. everyone should do their part to uphold the rights-fulfilling their responsibilities so that the constitution will stand many many years from now.

I think the relationship between rights and responsibilities is to have rights you have to be responsible. the constitution is still impoortant 220 years after it was signed because all of our laws are in the constitution and they can't just come in and areast you just becuse.it is the responsibility of the citizens to protect the ideas of the constitution because we have to fight for our responsibilitys.

Rights are privilages that people in America have like being able to hunt or drive cars or go to school. Responsablilities re kind of like chores but it isn't anything like taking out the trash or doing laundry.
The Constitution is still important because it states all laws and goverment "lines" for what we can and can't do.
We should "protect" the constitution because it has all laws, like I said earlier, and it keeps our state "together" in peace and harmony sort of.

I think the difference between rights and responsibilities is that rights are things that you can do in america like free religon and free speech.responsibiltty is something you have to do in order to live here like voting

i think the relationship between rights and responsibilities is that rights are a privleg and we have a responsibilitie as an american to prteced thouse rights.
i think that the constitution is still impotant after 220 years because it keeps us in check.the responsibility is prtecding our rights because if we dont protected our ideas our rights will get taken away from us

I agree with veronica and gage.

Rights are basicly your ablity to do what you want. Responsiblities are what you have to do or your job. I think these to tie to together because you do have rights but yiou have to be responsible when you are in a situation of having a right to do that. The constitution is still use to day because we still follow it's "directions" and when we make new laws it cannot go against the consitution. our responsiblities are to follow the laws that we are given and help other to also. Hopefully we will still use this it in the future

I love the fact that our country has rights and an excellent government. Our constitution is the most important thing in our government (in my opinion). It tells us of our rights, how our government works, and it also lists our admendments. I couldn't dream of living anywhere else but the united States of America.

BEN ROBINSON(AKA LILBALLIN 03) .I think the realationship between the rights and responsibilities are that your rights is somethin u have the right to do and your responsibilities are thinks u kinda really have to do.The constitution is still importan because those are still all our laws and things that the american goverment is based on.

1.if your not resposible you will lose your rights.2.tells the government how its run, and tells the branches of the govornment what powers it has, and gives us our basic rights.3.because it gives us our rights

Constitution day.

(Second entry)

I think that constitution day is a very interesting holiday and very important to the american country.

And just like Mr. Veliz said in class I do think that we should July 4th off.

I agree with every one who commented.
I'm still amazed that the constitution was made 220 years ago!!!!
Wow!

But there is one thing I don't get. If the basis of the goverment made the constitution, how come the constitution protects from the goverment?

How confusing!

Oh new info!
The constitution wasn't made exactly made 220 years ago.

SEE YA!
